This one pice coin is quite a rare shape for a coin. This ring shaped coin was quite a curiosity and was popularly called the paisa with a hole. On the obverse, we have a crown on top, the text "PICE" on the left of the crown, the text "INDIA" on the right of the crown, the year on the bottom, and the Devanagari (presumably Hindi) text "एक पैसा" (meaning: one pice) on bottom left, and the Urdu text "ek paisaa" (meaning: one pice) on the bottom right.
